Villa K

Located in the rural landscape of Kuruoba Village (Ayvacık, Çanakkale), this two-story villa is designed in harmony with its natural surroundings and local architectural character. The project is a collaboration between gül koc GmbH and gül koç tasarım + mimarlık.

The design is shaped by the site’s natural qualities, featuring a strong connection to nature and a calm, understated aesthetic. A central gallery void and a large vertical opening define both the interior spatial experience and the building’s façade. Soft, organic forms, arched openings, and terra cotta tones with textured plaster create a warm, timeless identity.

The ground floor hosts shared living spaces, including the kitchen, living room, and winter garden, all visually and physically connected to the front garden. The upper floor accommodates private functions such as the master suite, dressing room, and fitness area, organized around the gallery for spatial continuity.

Interior design follows a holistic approach, using natural materials such as stone, wood, and plaster to create a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. Carefully integrated architectural elements like built-in seating and open storage, enhance both functionality and comfort.

Blending organic forms, natural materials, and clear spatial organization, Villa Kuruoba offers a contemporary living experience rooted in its rural context.
